Zazenkai

Zazenkai provides one with the the opportunity for intensifying and deepening one’s practice through the experience of longer periods of uninterrupted zazen.

Throughout zazenkai we use the exact techniques that are followed during sesshin (zen retreat). On these evenings of zazenkai we practice zazen (seated meditation), chanting (kido), walking meditation (kin-hin), silence and to conclude, a Dharma Talk is given by Joriki Dat Baker.

After closing, tea and fellowship are offered in the lounge. Sunday’s meditation service (zazenkai) starts at 4pm and lasts until 7pm.

Students may attend partial services/zazen; however please view the schedule page for details on allowed entrance/exit times during the service. Half day zazenkai starts at 3pm and lasts until 9pm. For more information please call 610-760-3033

A $20.00 donation is standard for evening zazenkai.
